Swappie Bag

This is the "Paris Market Bag" I made for my partner in
the Bag Ladies July Swap!
My partner likes Red so I thought I would make a bag using mostly Reds.
I added the White/Red print for alittle interest.
I know Heather likes Vintage & Retro style things-I sure hope she likes
this Tote. This is another bag that I would Love to make for Myself.
Ha! I just never have enough hours in my day to Spoil little ol' me.

A little peek at the Tote I am sending My partner!
I received a Gorgeous bag for my 1st Exchange, & I am eagerly awaiting my 2nd Tote & Goodies!
I hope my partner Likes her tote...I decided Not to felt it.
I thought Iwould leave that option up to Her.
I was so Scared to Ruin it, & I really did not want to practice
on this tote, it being a Gift and all.
I have fallen in Love with so Many of the bags pictured on the ITE IV
blog, I can't wait to see which one is Mine!!
I am Not sure when the next Exchange will happen
but, if Ya'll have Not participated in this particular exchange, I encourage Ya'll to sign up.
All of the people involved are so Great & the totes that are exchanged are Amazing!

Sweet Goodness Swaps!

This is what I sent my Partner Jodi R. in the Summer Fun Swap!
We were to choose a Fun & Unique way to package all the surprises.
We also had to send 6 items..
one of them being something handmade
& another being something that was Thrifted!!
This swap was a lot of fun putting together & Receiving!

And this is what I received today in the mail.

A really cute Summery Tote,

a darling little handmade box with Pincushion lid,

cute little candle holder,

Yummy Tangerine tea,

Vintage hankie,

orange ribbon,

Pretty stickers,

& Marigold seads!

Thank You Jodi for your Lovely gift!

Swappie Bag

I received this Lovely Bag, 2 Vogue bag patterns, & some darling purse shaped note cards!
I Love felted bags! and I really want to try my hand at felting, if I could just find the Time!!
My partner said this bag started out as a Sweater.
I thought that was a really neat idea.
I think what I am afraid of is totally ruining a purse that I spent so much time Creating, but if I take her idea & use an old sweater to practice on..
that just might get Me felting!!

Swap Happiness!!

Thank You Wolfmom2ac!
This is the Wonderful gift I received yesterday in the FAA June Swap.
With Several "no sends" lately, this little Gift sure did Lift my Spirits!
In this Swap the requirements were to Make something for Your partner using Only "1" fat quarter or less.
It really was a Fun challenge!
And now with this Inspiration, I think I will start my Next quilt top.
The pattern is from the book "The Best of Black Mountain Quilts"
It actually Looks like a Watermelon but, it is done with the Log Cabin pattern.
In the Quilt Shop I go to, they have one on display & I just fell in Love with it!

ITE IV To Felt or Not to felt???

(hoping my partner does Not read my blog)
Here is the Tote I have created for my partner-Almost done!
I Need to make one more Handle & attach both.
What I am stuck on is this...
My partner mentioned that She would Like a Felted bag, I have NEVER done any felting & I have a front Loading washer(have heard they do not felt things very well)
Another thing is, I think the bag looks real Pretty the way it is.
But, I also think it would look Great felted!
I guess I am just Scared because I have never done felting & it is getting down to the wire on this Tote Exchange.
I would Love Any & All comments that might Help in my decision!!!

My Latest Project

The pattern is a little hard to see but, this is the pattern I have been wanting to make for Quite some time now! So, I finally popped in to Hobby Lobby & picked out this New yarn.
It is Vanna's Choice by Lion Brand.
100% acrylic
(it feels better than red heart)
I chose the colors to go with my decor in My house.
I want to be able to actually Use this afghan. The last one I made for Myself turned out So Nice I don't use it(it is just draped over a sofa)
I will post pictures of My other afghans when I get a chance!
We are trying to get Our House ready to sell.
I have been cleaning, painting, sorting & shampooing carpets, these past few weeks & I can't tell you how sick of it I am!!!
I could hardly left my arms the other day-it even Hurt to drive :o)
Two more rooms to Shampoo & I am DONE!
(hubby still has some things on his list ;o)
Oh, forgot to mention the pattern is from Herrschners
"Rose Ripple Afghan"
